Essay Topic Article Summary- Busche

The article I chose was, "Why Obama Is Winning" by Ross Douthat. He states that if the election took place right now, Obama would win, but at the rate that the election is slowly depleting, Mitt Romney will soon take the lead. Douthat says in his article that the unemployment rate is the deciding factor in who will win the election. The unemployment rate is a hot topic, as it was in the first Presidential debate and common to most people it was the deciding factor as to who won the debate. The same principle applies to the entire election as well. Ross' article simply pointed that out and elaborated on it.
